At Athens Pet Sitter, we get serious about our pet sitters. Handpicked and meticulously screened, including an official background check, our pet sitters know we think the world of them by the time we accept them into the APS pack — and we think you will too! Enjoy a quick introduction below to our fabulous team.
HI, I’m Jamie. I have been working with animals for over 10 years and am currently employed at UGA’s Veterinary Teaching Hospital.
I worked in a general practice veterinary clinic for 5 years and during this time I decided to go back to school, where I earned an associate degree in Veterinary Technology and have now been a registered technician (RVT) for 6 years.
Caring for animals truly is my passion.
Mary Frances graduated from UGA in 2015 with a degree in Animal Science. She currently works at the UGA Vet School as a Lab Animal Technician and plans to attend Vet School next year.
She grew up in Macon, Georgia and worked there at a small animal clinic and as a barn manager.
Her hobbies include spending time with her dogs at the dog park and traveling.
Michela is BACK!
She started with Athens Pet Sitter way back in 2011. Since then, she has gotten married, moved away, become a mother of twin girls and moved back.
When she isn’t snuggling her two Boykin Spaniels, Nora and Case, she will be taking excellent care of your pets.
I am a student at the University of Georgia majoring in Management with a certificate in Music Business. I have a love for all animals and experience caring for all kinds including dogs, cats, horses, rabbits, turtles, guinea pigs, chickens and lots more.
I am also a member of the UGA IHSA Equestrian Team and I have over 12 years of experience working with and showing horses of all different personality types.
In my free time I enjoy hiking, traveling, riding horses, and spending time with my dog, Iris.
Adriana I was born and raised in the beautiful countryside of Tuscany, Italy. A region where down to earth politeness and respect are still second nature. I grew up around dogs, horses and cats, which helped me a lot to understand their behavior and my passion for them.
I am a certified dog trainer, and I currently volunteer at a local Sanctuary, Sweet Olive Farm in Winterville GA, where I help to take care of all kinds of furry friends, Dogs, Cats, Llamas, Alpacas, Horses, Goats and Pigs.
I love being a part of the solution for pet’s owners. Thus allowing them to have some peace of mind, by knowing that their best friend is in good and caring hands.
If your dog has any type of behavioral problems, or if he just needs to learn some good manners. I can provide a very professional and caring, dog training service…customized to your dog’s needs.

Heidi, I grew up in North Miami Beach and moved to Athens in 1973 to finish my college education. During my professional career I taught middle school, managed an artist’s studio, developed and conducted community leadership classes, and held public office.
I have always had a fondness for cats but my parents didn’t want one. My husband’s experiences with cats were very negative so he didn’t want to own one either. At some point early in our marriage I told him that he had to relent and let me have a cat before I died! Guess what? He became a cat lover, too, and since that time we’ve been loved by many wonderful kitties.
When I’m not pet sitting I am riding my bicycle, playing Petanque and Mah Jongg, traveling, reading, cooking, and as time allows pursuing something with my hands: sewing, weaving, or book making.
Sharon is a college graduate with a love for all animals. She has raised and taken care of many different pets over the years from sugar gliders to dogs.
